Discover La Cubana

If you're in the Marietta, GA area and craving delicious, home-style Cuban cuisine, La Cubana is the place to be. Nestled at 45 South Marietta Parkway SW, this hidden gem offers an authentic taste of Cuban culture, combining bold flavors, warm hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just visiting, La Cubana will make you feel right at home with its rich culinary offerings.

Walking into La Cubana, you’re immediately greeted with the smell of sizzling spices and hearty comfort food. The menu is a beautiful reflection of Cuban culinary traditions, offering a variety of dishes that showcase the island's vibrant flavors. From classic Cuban sandwiches to savory entrees like Ropa Vieja, there’s something for everyone. Each dish is crafted with care, using fresh ingredients and traditional cooking techniques.

A standout at La Cubana is their Cuban Sandwich. Served on perfectly toasted Cuban bread, it's stuffed with layers of tender roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard. The balance of flavors is unbeatable, making each bite a mouthwatering experience. If you're in the mood for something heartier, the Ropa Vieja is a must-try. This slow-cooked shredded beef, simmered in a tomato-based sauce with onions and bell peppers, is a Cuban staple that packs both flavor and history into every bite.

What sets La Cubana apart from other diners in the area is its dedication to authenticity. The owners, who come from a long line of Cuban culinary tradition, have brought their family’s recipes to life in this cozy space. The atmosphere is casual, but it’s clear that every dish served is made with love and a passion for the Cuban food culture.

Another popular choice is the Lechón Asado, which is slow-roasted pork marinated in citrus and garlic. The pork is incredibly tender, with crispy skin that adds the perfect texture. It's served with a side of congrí (Cuban-style rice and beans), which is a comforting accompaniment to any meal. Every bite brings a piece of Cuba straight to your plate, and the flavors are so well-balanced that it’s impossible to stop at just one.

If you’re a fan of seafood, don’t miss the Vaca Frita, a dish made with marinated flank steak that’s seared to perfection and topped with onions. It's often paired with fried plantains, which are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, offering the perfect contrast in texture. It’s a dish that showcases the versatility of Cuban cuisine, blending savory, sweet, and tangy elements in a way that’s uniquely Cuban.

When it comes to desserts, La Cubana doesn’t disappoint. The Flan is a crowd favorite, with its silky smooth texture and caramelized sugar topping. For something a little more indulgent, try the Tres Leches cake, a rich sponge cake soaked in a blend of three milks that creates a moist, melt-in-your-mouth experience.

What really makes La Cubana stand out is its attention to detail and the love that goes into each dish. The chefs take great pride in crafting food that not only satisfies your hunger but also tells a story. Each plate serves as a tribute to the culinary heritage of Cuba, and the care put into the cooking is evident in every bite.

In addition to the mouthwatering food, La Cubana also offers excellent customer service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, always happy to offer recommendations or explain the ingredients in a dish. Whether you’re a Cuban food enthusiast or a first-timer, the staff will make sure you have a memorable dining experience.

Located in the heart of Marietta, this spot is perfect for casual dining, family gatherings, or even a quick bite during a busy day. The laid-back atmosphere and welcoming environment make it a great place to unwind and enjoy good food. Whether you're stopping in for lunch or coming in for a hearty dinner, you’ll leave feeling satisfied and eager to return.

If you’re looking to try something new and flavorful, La Cubana is an absolute must-visit. • Food was excellent. Service excellent and fast. Perfect seasoning. I had the Friday lunch special with rice, beans, roast pork and plaintains with a side of beef empanada. Also had a regular margarita. Margarita was strong and smooth, just how I like it. I will be back when I'm in the area.

  • We were greeted and seated quickly and chose a booth. The dinner options were mostly around $18. Our food came out hot and was delicious. I had enough to eat and take home for seconds. Our server was incredible and suggested the fresca drinks, we tried the tamarind (loved loved) and Jamaica (hibiscus drink good). We will be returning our server suggested we try the grilled grouper tacos next time which we will.

  • Amazing Cubans! We grabbed a quick bite around lunch time. Everyone was kind and service was quick. They even had the Open on at the bar.

  • In a suburban parking lot, right off Marietta square is this unheralded oasis of hearty Cuban fare. Everything about La Cubana indicates Cuba... from the faded signs, to the unassuming furniture. The string lights and low slung profile make the place like it was plucked right out of a Cuban beach and placed incongruously in suburbia!!! Warmly greeted at the door. With enthusiasm and sincerity. Service was fast and helpful. Silverware wrapped in paper napkins. Fesh juice. Really? Guava passionfuit and orange. Yummy. I had a cortadito - the coffee brewed to perfection with the hint of milk cutting just enough of the bold flavor. The cubano sandwich is on the larger side!! Bread was very VERY good. I had the ropa veinjo, and it was filling and substantial. Dipping the fried plantains into the thick gravy was satisfying Ended with the flan. Homemade!! With just the right amount of 'egginess' IYKYK!!! Excellent experience. Easy on the wallet. Would return and bring friends.

  • It was my birthday weekend and i just woke up from a nap and wanted to go grab a Turkey Cuban that I thought I got last weekend from this Cuban spot. Upon entering I was still sleepy, tired, sweats/hoodie type of ordeal… but the guy still greeted me with a smile and told me to sit and order. I realized I was that tired that I forgot to even sit down and order since I wasnt taking it to go. Since it was my birthday weekend, I asked my waiter Luiz (MADE THE BEST NO CAP BUT THE BEST MARGARITA I HAVE EVER HAD! Even been to mexico and still have not had a better margarita then the one he made)to hook me up with a “Turkey Cuban”(I was confused with the Cuban restaurant next door). When the order came it looked wonderful but then i took a second look at the meat and realize it was beef (I dont eat beef, chicken or pork). I asked another gentleman to notify Luiz to correct mistake and the sweet cook (Daya) came out with the menu and express what they offer. I was delighted and stayed and order a grouper cuban and BOY WAS I SURPRISED!!!! It was legit the best cuban I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFE! For one I never had a Grouper Cuban and oh my God it was the best ever! I even went to Miami and had a Cuban sandwich and it was not the same! I Appreciate these people here Most certainly I appreciate the Cook for coming out to talk to me. She really is the reason why I made this review. (Below you will see a picture of both of the Cubans I got the regular Cuban and the fish Cuban)
